Who We Are 

Hollingworth Learning Trust is a multi-academy trust based in Rochdale, comprising of two secondary schools and one primary school. Our Central Service Office is located in Rochdale, and we are actively seeking to expand our trust to better serve our local communities. With over 250 staff members, we support more than 2,500 pupils. 

Join Our Board of Trustees 

Hollingworth Learning Trust is seeking dedicated Trustees to join our Board. As a Trustee, you will volunteer to make a vital contribution to the success of our academies and trust. 

Trustees play a crucial role in the effective running of our Trust, collaborating with the CEO and leadership teams to provide high-quality education in a supportive environment. Your efforts will help ensure the best possible education for our children. 

The Trust Board works as a cohesive team to develop the trust’s vision and strategies, and to review the performance of our academies and trust. 

This voluntary role is both challenging and extremely rewarding. It may be particularly appealing if you have skills in finance, human resources, data, or education. However, we welcome applications from anyone interested in helping our trust excel and represent the communities we serve. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your personal and professional skills. We provide comprehensive training and support to all our trustees, enabling you to fully utilize your knowledge and experience. 

What Is Required 

Trustees are required to attend six board meetings per academic year, as well as participate in visits and other meetings or panels as needed. You will receive regular reports from the CEO and COO, and you must be able to question, challenge, and support decisions to ensure the trust's success.

To be eligible for this role you cannot be employed by the trust, an elected member of the local authority or employed by the local authority in connection with education (unless you work only in another school or schools).
